Ben J. D'Haiti is a homeschooled high school senior. He plays the trumpet, piano and guitar. He has studied under David Boltz, Dr. Nate Hussell (VAMA Staff), Steve Hendrickson (NSO), Rodney Marsalis and Thomas Cupples (NSO). He attended Tanglewood for two summers and he is starting his third year as a National Symphony Fellow. He was accepted into the NYO in 2020, and we look forward to his performance on NPR's From the Top in early 2021. He has performed several times at the Kennedy Center. He loves to practice and his example brings out the best in all of us--his passion for music is contagious!  He has enjoyed performing with the American Youth Philharmonic and Brass of Peace. His work has been commissioned by Carnegie Hall for use in music education, and he has recently started his own production company--BJD Productions.
